Daften Powder Coating is an extension to our long established ‘one stop shop’ die-casting business established in 1961. Daftens reputation has been built on providing quality, reliability, flexibility and traceability. We coat products of all
sizes, shapes and quantities from the very smallest general pressings to larger items up to 4.5 metres.

flexible process
We employ a 3 stage conveyorised Phosphate pre-treatment line: - a Granoline 606 light etch, cold and warm rinse and drying system to remove machining lubricants and contamination, providing a key for the powder. We can also offer sand blasting, chemical degreasing and can apply Alochrome 1200 as a pre-treatment.

Our state-of-the-art plant includes a 6 metre three-pass online gas re-circulating oven, complete with 2 Nordson online spray booths. A 350 hook conveyor line for volume production and a 3 metre wet wash spray booth and 3 metre square re-circulating gas box oven for larger and one off coatings.

We are committed to quality and take an ‘engineering approach’ to powder coating.All stages of the process and rigorously tested and inspected using coasting thickness
gauges and ‘scratch’ testing, with all measuring equipment traceable to BS Standards.
